In my theory of the world, Web Forms are just an attempt to mimic windows forms on the web to offer a standardized way of coding windows applications vs web applications. I'm not sure the conncept of web forms applies to my standards of good web development. A Web form is a form that submits onto itself; and you have to write code to figure out which "mode" of the form you are in. .NET makes this pretty easy with a built in variable. I've heard of people who have had problems with web form efficiency in production. I've heard from people who have had no problems with web form efficiency in production. I don't have enough first-hand experience to make a conclusion.
