DUNREA, MB - The quest to talk with God has connected some people to Dunrea, Manitoba instead. Gerry Paradis of Dunrea has fielded a couple of dozen calls lately from people wanting to talk to God. Those people have all seen the Jim Carrey movie, "Bruce Almighty". In the movie, God's phone number flashes on a pager the same seven digits as Paradis' number. Paradis describes them as mostly 'curiousity' calls and he says they're only annoying when they come in the middle of the night. Paradis says he's developed a sense of humour of the whole thing. "My business name is Paradise Geo Thermal, so that's why we answer "Good Morning, Paradise," says Paradis. Paradis says most of the calls have been coming from the United States, but he isn't alone in getting calls for God. Across the U.S., people with those same seven digits have also been getting calls and requests. It's become such a headache, some are even talking about suing the makers of "Bruce Almighty". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=5 Your ad could be here.
