DISCLAIMER: the following is a brag about our *kids* as we've made the decision to only have furkids. :)
We had to get Woody a girlfriend. NO not for puppies (he's been castrated) but just for company. Her name is Charlie Brown. :) (his is Woodstock, and yes, we've still got Snoopy the cat) A couple of weeks ago when we got back from CF-Europe, and went to go pick Woody up from the kennels (the same place we got him from also kennels as well - for the PALTRY sum of $7.50 A DAY!) ... We asked the peeps there if they came across another girl like him that was scared of absolutely everything, to let us know. As one of those would be very likely to be scared of the cat, just like Woody was. And likely not wanted since people tend to go for more lively ones. So they said, "Wait! We've just the girl!" and out they bring this really lovely fawn colored girl. She'll be 2 years old in August and didn't make it to the races because she lost a back toe as a puppy. She was indeed scared of everything, but she's so smart and once she gets to know you, she is so affectionate, always giving kisses. Her race name was Have a Go No Toe. (Woody's was Hitting Form). She's an English-bred greyhound. Woody is an Irish-bred. She's shorter than Woody (head to tail) and only about an inch shorter (height-wise) and they were immediate best friends. They really love each other and we took them on a 600 mile round trip last weekend to Newcastle where we stayed on a farm. Woody came alive and was so joyously happy to be out in the country. We had a small paddock we could use to let them run in, and they had a blast.
