SOLUTION:
Alright I finally found the correct reference to explain how it really
works! The problem is that by joining the XSL document to the XML document
hard coded the choice and I kept running into that brick wall.
example:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="test.xsl"?>
I need to not specifically declare which style sheet to use, and to do so
dynamically at run time. Both ColdFusionMX and JavaScript have functions to
handle this.
JavaScript Example:
<script type="text/javascript">// Load XML
var xml = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
xml.async = false
xml.load("cdcatalog.xml")
// Load XSL
var xsl = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
xsl.async = false
xsl.load("cdcatalog.xsl")
// Transform
document.write(xml.transformNode(xsl))
</script>
