The classical greeks had an idea of happines as being something that couldn't be 
achieved in life... basically because as long as you were still alive your work was 
incomplete and so you couldn't be happy and fulfilled until the work of your life was 
complete, which happens when you die... I remember hearing that Asimov had once 
expressed while he was alive that he wouldn't have time to finish his work before he 
died... As for Henson... I think "the light that burns twice as bright" may be an 
appropriate cliche, although it rarely applies in real life. :) I have an unusual 
attitude toward death in general tho... I don't know that I'd call it flippancy, but 
it's never bothered me. I've never been afraid of dying or of other people dying... I 
guess I've always trusted that the universe knows what it's doing... and never really 
felt as though death is an end of things.
