On a related note, are the farm subsidies the US provides its farmers fair? It REALLY hurts a lot fo 3rd world countries.
Thankfully as the EU is expanding and their CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) is being ammended to cater for a larger union. The US is currently not what I would call a supporter of free trade. It wants to open up 3rd world markets to its products, but place high tarriffs on products that the 3rd world can produce cheaper.
