I have no tolerance for role playing games. I played D&D for about a
year when I was in High School, every time it would end in a fight and
those manuals had the special, magical ability to drive away girls fast.
Dragon magazine had cool pictures, but the games were never like that.

At the same time, I can tolerate the computer RPGs. Wizardry and Zork
ruled when I was a kid. Bard's Tale conquered. Pool of Radiance topped
them all off, then my interest fizzled.

Anyways, about a month ago I saw a copy of Neverwinter Nights for $9 at
Staples and decided to buy it instead of a new ruler. Someone please
explain to me why this game is cool - I couldn't deal with all the
melodrama occupying every sqaure inch of plot the game was trying to
shove down my throat. The graphics were nothing to write home about, and
I couldn't stand the characters you had to tool around with.
