I haven't seen it yet, but I know it's a remake of a classic cult film. In
my experience, "classic cult film" = tedious and boring, particularly when
it's also sci-fi. Take Wim Wenders' "Until the End of the World". The
original cut was something like 8 hours and the theatrical release was about
3. Of course, Wenders is known for long, slow movies, though I will say that
Wings of Desire is a classic that anyone who likes film should definitely
see.
