I like Madden a lot, but the differences between this year and last year's seems pretty thin - like they were just calling it in for 2004. New interface, new players, and the running game seems a little more realistic, but I can still score way too easily with a heavy passing game. Every few years, EA seems to put out a solid gold update to the series, though. Maybe the 2005 or 2006 version, since they'll likely have a new platform to show off on at that point.
I'd like to see the platform breakdown of Madden sales. I peeked into an EB on Saturday to see if Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance was on the shelves yet, and they were sold out of PS2 Maddens but had plenty of Xbox/Gamecube copies. - Jim Haggerty, Mike wrote: >Madden has already made $100 million of 2004, I read that in >Businessweek.
