I would try it. I have a USB keyboard and wireless mouse and was able to
install RH9 fine but with RH8 I had to use a ps/2 connector to install. I
don't have any other ideas for you to try.  There is a Redhat install maling
list you can try at
http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-install-list

There may be some others that have run into this in RH9 also.
