Related - Something similar happened to a small town in eastern oregon - halfway. I
guess their city was renamed to half.com - it even says so on their website
http://www.halfwayor.com/

I was up in the mountains in Oregon earlier this year and decided to drive through
half.com. I asked a few local ranchers what they thought of their new name, half.com,
and they laughed at me like I was an idiot. Not one of them knew what the crap I was
talking about. There was nothing in the town that I could find that said half.com -
everything was still halfway.

I guess the people who run the town decided to just rip half.com off - yeah, we'll
rename our town to your cheezy .com name, sure, send the check - pretty funny.
