JJ-
Blue Mountains:
we spent 2 nights in a B&B in Wentworth Falls at the very edge of Jamison
Valley (about 300m deep gorge), about 50 meters from Conservation Hut. Took
pictures from track (walking trail) to Breakfast Point Overlook. Also Katooma's
famous Three Sisters rock formation, Grose Valley at Blackheath, etc. Plus the
fun ZigZag Railway at Clarence (vintage diesel railmotor one way, steam train
the other). Railmotor operator invited me to ride in cab with him - said that
was reserved for photographers and small children. I said I qualified on both
counts .
Other end of Blue Mtns - Jenolan Caves. Stayed 2 nights in Caves House, toured
3 of the show caves.
Sydney Harbor:
Afternoon tour (2.5 hours) all the way out to the Heads and through Middle
Harbor, night tour (1.5 hours), plus ferries from Circular Quay to Darling
Harbor and from CQ to Taronga Zoo. Spent time on Bondi Beach, flying a kite in
the annual Festival of the Winds (registered over the 'net). Showed the flag by
flying a 3D kite of the NASA Space Shuttle :-)
Darling Harbor:
views from there plus above from AMP Sydney Tower (300 meters up).
BTW was yummy too - went to a Malaysian restaurant at Cockle Bay Wharf called
Chinta Ria Temple of Love with a huge laughing Buddha in the middle of the
floor. Great fun.
What's Camp Cove?
