Figured out the problem, somehow my laptop decided (or M$ decided through a
patch) that it was a master browser, eventually the real browser got tired
of it and kicked it out of the network.
Oh well, got it working and now I definitely don't have to change my network
set up!

Subject: FW: Windows SP4 and Connecting to Workgroup
Since upgrading my Win2k home network to SP4, I am running into difficulties
maintaining network connections within my home network.
When I first boot, I have full access to my internal network. Eventually, I
get a "the local device name is already in use" and the connection doesn't
come up.
I am working off a workgroup.
So my question is twofold?
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it?
Would moving to a domain based network solve this and if so, what do I do to
make it a domain?
Thanks
Sandy
