specs here sound a little sketchy, esp. the part about only being able
to upgrade the HD to 30 GB.
That being said, I have heard good things about Transmeta chips in
general and would be interested in knowing how it compares to similar
AMD or Intel offerings. I have seen some performance benchmarks, and the
FPU ratings have been extremely high.
The Giga mobile processor is the one Transmeta has been developing for
PDAs, primarily. I do not think the name means 1 Ghz clockspeed,
however. They consume far less power than other chips and supposedly
last forever.
