had to "enjoy myself" - wife stayed home

actually, kidding aside, did have some fun besides the two solid days in a meeting room:
- went out to dinner at a yummy Louisiana Cajun-style seafood restaurant called Pappadeaux (interestingly, it's a Texas chain owned by a Greek family named Pappas!)
- group was invited out to our manager's new place for dinner, 3300 sqft custom house on 5 acres, 2 horses. We kicked back on the covered patio with a couple of beers, then home-grilled burgers & chicken with all the sides. Just the stress relief we all needed.
Decided the sensible diet could go to hell for one night <g>.
('sides, Monday is Yom Kippur and I fast.)
Got home about 11:30pm CA time after having been up since the equiv of 4:30am, crashed, slept late today (9/80 day off thank God).
