I live about 30 miles EAST of the San Andreas.
Just south of San Francisco, it crosses the coastline and runs offshore. It goes through Pt. Reyes National Seashore in Marin, which would be a sad loss.
But you are welcome to drop Los Angeles into the sea <g>.

If you don't mind, I'd like to implement Lex Luthor's plan to set off
nukes under the San Andreas and drop California into the ocean. Nothing
personal, mind you, but really, we'd all be better off :) I'll be off
buying swaths of desert in western Nevada if you need me.
