simple. The problem is that no one is supposed to be allowed to talk
about it, which sets a dangerous precedent.
Imagine if no one was allowed to talk about security flaws or examine
protection schemes. For instance, what if a computer that controlled a
hydroelectric dam could be accessed via the internet and it's security
could be bypassed by not entering a password?
Strong public interests are served by bringing things like this to
light, and this law is crippling people's ability to expose flaws in
systems.
