Hatton-

Sorry that's happening, bummer.
Hope things take a turn for the better really soon.

Okay, so I've been back on the job hunt for almost 2 full months (was let go
August 12th) and have had 3 interviews for 77 places I've contacted.  I've
now received 5 declination letters, two from places that didn't even select
me for an initial interview.

Now I understand that the market is tight but I'm wondering what the hell is
going on with one of the places I interviewed.  I was told that I'm one of
two candidates for the position when I interviewed and I received a letter
telling me that I had not been selected (no signature or anything, computer
generated PC crap).  In looking through the job listings on the Job Bank
what should I find but the posting for the position I interviewed for almost
a month ago (interview was on 9/20) with a posting date of today.

I tried calling the HR person at the place and she's off until the 15th.  I
don't have the director's information otherwise I'd be calling him directly
reminding him of our interview.  In the meantime, I'm steaming.  No real
reason to steam but it's been a very frustrating week on the job search.
I'm beginning to wonder if I didn't royally screw myself over by trying to
move back into the Electronics world and now trying to get back into
software.  That plus the fact that I have to explain the last year beginning
with, "that's an interesting situation".

(*sigh*) I don't even want to get into the fact that now that fall/winter is
starting to set in my ankle is starting to act up.

Must find a beer and calm down now... it's after 5 o'clock somewhere ;)

Until Later!
