Poor Osmar.  glad he came through surgery ok.  Blockages are extremely serious. I think i know more young dogs that died of blockages than any other single ailment.

My dog had a blockage.  The toy he ate cost me 1400$ worth of surgery and medical care.  But once the object is removed they feel much better, really fast, dont' they!

  Hi,

Just thought you all would like to know. Last Tuesday the smallest of our
ferrets, Osmar began acting very sick and he was throwing up. So it was off
to the vet's. It turned out Osmar had eaten something that caused a stomach
blockage - its quite life threatening. Anyhow it required immediate
surgery. He sailed through the surgery, and spent a few days at the vet's
  recovering.

Well today we picked him up. He's doing great. Wants out of the cage, and
eat his usual ferret food instead of the post op stuff he's been eating.
He's in for a follow up next week.

  larry
