I wonder as well in some cases but in the Arab world you have rulers who blow money on nothing while letting their people wallow in despare. You have religious leaders denouncing anything not of their faith rather then trying to build bridges. You have governments who are not advancing their citizens. You have a stagnation of science. etc. etc. etc.
And its all blaimed on Israel. That's the kicker. Blaim others rather than do for yourself. :(
