I used a cardboard box with slits in it that I fed punched paper through
that was then passed under strips of aluminum foil which then
transmitted information via a wire to a tin can that was attached to a
speaker and through another wire which was attached to the back of a
piece of glass which then showed images according the pattern of the
punch holes.
And, and, and for a modem, I used another couple of tin cans connected
together with a piece of coathanger, which was attached to a special row
of tin foil, and when activated called my friends tin cans and we BBS'd!
*humph!*
er ...
/me looks around ... runs ...
Cheers,
Erika

First I really used was a commodore pet workstation in front of I
believe a
vax/vms system(it was a really long time ago).
First computer we owned was a vic 20. The 64 and the 128 really had
some
awesome games. D&D let SSI produce all their games back then and they
were
great. SSI made a lot of really great games actually. Huh, wonder if
their
still around.
