I think the week is without water.  You can go pretty long without food; the body is pretty good at burning off non-essentials(fat, muscle) to provide for essentials(organs).  You might see some short term effects like hair loss and scurvy, but nothing permanent.


  I think the biggest danger is the loss of electrolytes, as your nervous system starts to shut down, including autonomic functions.  Many have suggested that there is more than plain water coming to him through the tube, perhaps something similar to Gatorade or the like.

How can someone survive with just water?  I thought that the most u could probably go for is a week and then you die!  David Blaine said that before the stunt he fattened himself up so that he could live off his fat for the 44 days.  I did not know the human body could do that.  I mean I knew some snakes can go for a year without eating.  But I didnt know humans could stock up on vitamins and live off on that for a while.

Anyone know!
