:-) No, we just got back from visiting family (mine) in the Rochester area. It's really nice, and the people are substantially of better class than they are here where we live in Myrtle Beach area. It's not called the Redneck Riveria for nothing. We like the area ok, but it's gotten so congested that it's difficult to get anywhere, and the pay statewide is about 80% of national average. Plus, it's gotten very expensive to live here as well because of the high influx of retirees, and with low wages, it's not terribly easy to get ahead. I do better than most around here, but I'm just sick of dumb people. I mean really, really dumb jack-up-the-truck-tires and George Bush walks-on-water mentality. Both of us are of north/south background - both of our mothers are from northern states and our fathers are from sc. We both find ourselves to not fit in as well with the people here because of our different perpectives. Also, we're looking to get away from her parents for the first few years while we're married.

Do you plan to tell your wife the new address?
Or is this a post-honeymoon safety measure?

Hi everyone,
Anybody here from the Rochester, NY area? What's the job market like up there? I'm going to move there as soon as I'm married.
