i thought it was understood that for instance eating raw vegetables was more
nutritious than eating cooked ones (because some of the nutrients are lost
during cooking)

also i dont know the exact timeline but I do know that for most of human
evolution, we ate our food raw (until we figuired out how to cook it). so i
would say that we (as in humans as a species -- not individual people) are
capable of eating stuff raw, and that our digestive systems evolved for
that.

  I found this page about raw-feeding http://www.bluegrace.com/barf.html
<http://www.bluegrace.com/barf.html>  and wonder why raw-feeding isn't
appropriate for humans as well. ;-)

I used to raw feed until I met a woman who spent 27,000$ to repair
damage
done to her dogs insides from raw feeding.

Anyone  on this list raw feeding their dogs, cats and ferrets? I have
noticed that there are alot of pet owners on this list and wondered if
any
(besides me) are doing this for their pets?

I can provide helpful information (on or offlist) to anyone interested
in
      making the switch.

      Thanks,
          John.
