I just ha a my "C" (and D, E, and F) drives go (80Gig disk). Unable to
boot fully (couldn't load explorer.exe). I was thinking "Virus" at
first but it turned out to be the disk.
Anyway I'm actually running a disk mirror (I don't do full backups since
I can't afford a big enough tape). I popped out the bad disk and after
a warning that the array had been compromised everything worked, first
time without a hitch.
Now I need to swap the bad disk out for a replacement (it's under
warranty) and I should be back in business.
My wife was annoyed when I spent the money on "double" disks at first...
but now that they've saved my ass I'll never do without them again. ;^)
