Exactly, that's what I would like to find out more about. Here are two questions from the FAQ.
How has the pricing for ColdFusion changed in this release?
With the release of version 6.1, ColdFusion MX Enterprise is now sold in two-CPU increments. Customers running ColdFusion MX Enterprise 6.1 on machines with one or two CPUs need only purchase one license for each server. Machines with more than two CPUs need one license for each pair of CPUs.
If I want to upgrade from ColdFusion MX to ColdFusion MX 6.1, do I need to buy additional licenses if I have more than 2 CPUs?
Customers that purchased ColdFusion MX Enterprise on a per-server basis can upgrade to ColdFusion MX Enterprise 6.1 under the same terms. However, future upgrades and subscription renewals for ColdFusion MX Enterprise will be sold on a per-CPU basis.

Subject: Re: CF MX 6.1 Question - multi-processor server
Let me get this right...
I am currently running CF 5.0 Professional on about 20 some odd
servers. Each server is dual CPU.
I am thinking about upgrading to CF MX 6.1 Standard after the first of the
year.
Is CF MX 6.1 Standard based on per CPU? Or is list limited to one CPU and
if I want to use dual CPUs, I have to purchase CF MX 6.1 Enterprise?
I see that an upgrade is $650/server. Going from CF 5.0 to CF MX 6.1
