filled out the intro profile or not. You can do some cool searches like
finding everyone attending from your city, or perhaps from companies you
know the name of. Or you can just get a listing of all attendees, what
company they work for and where they are from. That could be more info than
those people planned on giving everyone else, but it's cool nonetheless.

Macromedia wrote one for MAX. They call it "intro". It's a Flash/RIA thingy.
Put in your professional interests, personal interests, and personality
characteristics and it matches you up with other people. It has a nifty
"sphere of influence" type display with a sort of radial scatter plot that
you can zoom in on to narrow down to those closest to you.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like they incorporated GPS alien tracking.
