rivals My Lai. Tiger Force, an Army paratrooper unit, went on a 7-month
rampage in southern Vietnam in 1967, killing women, children and farmers,
many of them huddled in basements or begging for their lives. There aren't
any hard numbers, but the accounts suggest the number of dead was more than
400 people.

What's interesting is that the soldiers were found to have actually
committed war crimes as defined in the Geneva Convention in a preliminary
investigation, but in November of 1975, the investigation was suddenly
shelved by the Pentagon and no charges were ever brought up against these
soldiers.
Let's see now, what major change to Pentagon management could have happened
in November of 1975 that would have precipitated such a sudden change in
policy? Anyone? Bueller?
