working at all. The work wasn't bad to start with but the boss was totally
insane, the code was touched by at least a dozen programmers over the last 5
years and there was never any time to clean anything up. Slowly the place bore
down on me to the point of me having no energy when I got home. Couldn't do
anything past some email (yes, anything). And the pay wasn't enough to live on
without additional work. And the boss expected 45 hours of work a week on a flat
pay scale (the was deducted by the hour, but not added to). And she excepted
weekends. And no insurance for a few more months. and and and.
I'm actually glad to be unemployed from that experience. After this, I'd rather
work in the adult website industry or the UN (I talked to them yesterday).
But I'm free.
