Subject: The death of mp3.com

I didn't hear it mentioned anywhere yet, so...

&category_id=3009>

CNET just bought "certain assets" of mp3.com.  mp3.com will cease in
its
current form on December 2nd (2 weeks notice were given to all existing
members).  All current content will be wiped out.

To my knowledge, nothing is confirmed about mp3.com's future, however
I
have heard speculation that mp3.com will be turned into a music portal
(without hosting content from independent musicians).
