in the whole not really, about 95% of the CFMX cfml will be applicable to
CF5

Just ignore anything regarding the new cfmx features like:
CFC's
XML/XSL/XPATH specific functions (concentrate on WDDX instead)
ServerSide Actions script

Alternatively you can download an evaluation copy of CFMX to play with (you
can use them to develop locally even after the evaluation period)

Good luck
Mark

Does it make a difference if I learn CFMX or CF5. We are running CF5.

Yes The book Larry mentioned below is probably what I would recommend, If
you could lock yourself up with that for a couple of weeks, go throught it
cover to cover it would make an immense difference to your cf.   There isn't
really a shortcut

On another note, keep bashing away at it.  I come from an non programming
background and kind've fell into doing CF a couple of years ago, I had to
learn EVERYTHING from scratch.

A few years ago it was me asking the silly questions :) i.e.  what's
localhost....

No problem. Another great resource is Forta's CFMX certification book. Or
the tutorials at easycfm.com.
