Maybe the person was in a drunken state when typing.
Maybe they were being attacked by flying monkeys too. It would be pretty
hard to type correctly if you were being attacked by flying monkeys.

True, but there's really no excuse for poor spelling (and, in this case it
was an incorrect word) on a home page.  It's like any other business
storefront - you need to be professional and if that means having someone
review the text for mistakes then so be it.
