What is going to happen when there is nothing to hold the attention of

a few years?

I believe the point is (if I remember correctly) that a recent "generic
profile" of serial killers was very much like your average programmer.
Things like "often holds odd hours", "often uncomfortable around women",
"nearly always male", "subsists primarily on fast food", "often
overweight"
and so forth. In general this riffs off the fact that serial killers
and
programmer share many of the same traits.
I can't remember the specifics. but that what I think prompted this.
