I'm eyeing that as my next major purchase...someday hee hee :)
A nice big HDTV.

It's just the costs are astronomical in Trinidad.

You need to pay an extra 50% on the cost of the television in
duties....and then have to find someway to ship it here.

Considering these things usually come in at least a 5 foot x 5 foot
box...And in addition to the size of the box, it's heavy. 0_0

I was just talking to an importer last night about this actually.

Costs just go waaay waaay above what you would purchase the thing for in
the US. I would probably have one already if I were in the States.
*sigh*

One silly company is selling a 42 inch flat screen HDTV ...a panasonic I
think...for TT$50,000. That is US$7,900 for this television. That's
probably two or three times what it would sell for at Best Buy in the
states...and it's not the latest model.

This was sometime late last year that I saw this.
The price hasn't dropped.

I just found this list, which might be useful for those of you who have
a Xbox and a HDTV - you need the Component cables, but BOY does it make
a difference

st.htm

The funny thing is that even on 480P, Halo looks fantastic compared to
running it through normal cables <g>

Oh, and if you don't have a HDTV, or want to use your computer monitor
for the Xbox, then check this out:
HYPERLINK "http://www.x2vga.com/"http://www.x2vga.com/

Xbox VGA Adapter, and it allows you to run HD games on your monitor <g>

Can't say fairer than that, can I?
