I didn't know this until recently - Fascism is a political structure that endorses ultra-patriotic actions and seeks to eliminate any person or groups of people who do not meet the norm. Hence, the Holocaust. It's a very conservative leaning.

Why single out the left in this case. There are also a lot of Nazis,
Milosevec supporters and other right wing extremist wingnuts who would like
to do the same. Remember before 9/11 the largest terrorist incident
experienced in the US was done by a couple of right wing extremists in
Oklahoma City.
The point being is that the only groups that are not interested in taking
shots at this country are the moderates.
