I believe that Disney has already announced that Porco Rosso will be out
sometime next year. I think I read about it first in "The Official
PlayStation Magazine" - which actually as a very small, but good Anime
column every month.

The book I have is called "Hayao Miyazaki, Master of Japanese Animation" by
Helen McCarthy.  Nifty enough, they have it on Amazon.com:

There's also several art books for each film (though only a few have made it
to the states) and what I consider his greatest work, the "Nausicca of the
Valley of the Wind Manga".  Viz Comics release it as many mini-series about
15 years ago and it can be found as collected graphic novels.  Freakin'
brilliant (I've got all the American Viz issues, but none of the original
Japanese ones).

It's great to see his work in Manga form since it's "raw" - the characters
are quite true to his designs in the films, but necessarily more fluid and
"soft".  His drawn art is much more sketchy and emotive (at least I think
so).  You can see a lot of that in the (really wonderful) animated
storyboards Disney did for several of their releases (the second discs).

There's a great book on Myazaki, I'll have to get the title etc when I get
home and pass it along to you. I picked it up at the Freer Gallery in the
Smithsonian, but it covers his career to Princess Mononoke. The ToonAnime
bookleg has most of his stuff - I'm still going through that one. The
subtitling is interesting to say the least. So far though he did the Castle
of Cagliostro and 2 Lupin III TV episodes that I know of. There are some
fan sites that list everything of his.

I am seriously hoping that given the success of Spirited Away, Disney
translates Porco Rosso and the Racoons War. Those two are very interesting.
