If you get the chance throughout the day would you guys mind checking out
www.firstnight.org?  Specifically this page here:

http://www.firstnight.org/Content/NewYears/Artists/Index.cfm

The site is currently under some pretty severe load (especially considering
that we're on a $20/month CrystalTech account) and although I've yet to
encounter any problems I've had several (well, four) reports from people
that the Artist and Events page wasn't loading/working for them.

I'm (sorta) pleased... we've had 30,000 or so visitors in the past 24 hours
and I've only gotten a handful of complaints (several not worth considering
or worth considering only in part)... but I'm still worried.

My gut says that the problems with this could be caused by at least three
things:

1) Server reboots (I've got a call in to the host to see what's up)

2) Garbage collection (although most pages take under 100ms there was at
least one time when a page took 2000 - I'm guessing that I hit garbage
collection at that point - I'm not sure how to tell if Garbage collection is
running)

3) My session manager task which does end-of-session processing and database
logging (this is a very heavy task running on a schedule, I doubt it causing
problems beyond locking the application scope for a bit longer than other
requests, but the vast majority of its work is done outside of locks on
local variables).

So if you get chance could you ping it and let me know if you encounter any
problems?

Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, "happy new year".  ;^)
