suggested that the current (early 80's) technology was about 25 years
in advance because of the space program. Just think if that push had
continued where we would be now.
I always get a kick out of the so called free enterprise types when
they use technology as a shining example of what non-government
supported business can do. Little do they realize that all the
current advances are strictly due to government funding and projects.
