It get better. According to a NASA legend, during the second manned
spaceflight there was a 6 or 7 hour delay because of an electrical short
somewhere in the system. The astronaut (cannot remember his name), really
really had to go, and they neglected to have any sort of facility in the
suit or spacecraft to allow him to do such - it was only to be a 45 minute
flight. Finally he sad enough was enough and just went in his suit. With
that the electrical short was suddenly resolved and all systems were "go".
