Actually, even your original was a duplicate.  The Hall of records
always
keeps the original, what we all have are "certified copies"

Actually, it just so happens I know the process for for getting a
duplicate birth certificate in the state of Maryland.

You need to contact the Division of Vital Records, which is located in
Baltimore on Reisterstown Road. You can probably use Superpages to get
the exact address. It will cost you $12 to get a copy, and you have to
call them ahead of time to get a copy of their order form. The
certificate will be mailed to you within 12 days.

This process will be Web-based within a few months.

Bah i lived most my life in ocean city/ocean pines/salisbury.

So i used to drive by the perdue corporate HQ every few days. In fact my
wife used to work for perdue farms as an accountant a very snazzy
building they have ;>
