Just a piece of advice.  Make sure it is a done, Done, DONE deal before doing anything drastic.

I was working for a great company.  They had been bought by another company in the name of industry consolidation.  My company was going to leave town here in California and be relocated to the other company's location in Florida.  They were already staring to work out the relocation details.  My job would not be relocated, there where plenty of people like me in Florida.  I started looking for and found another job, not as good but not moving (I was flayed off from this company three months later during the deflation of the Dot Com bubble).  Six months after that, the merger deal fell through and three years later the company is still here in town.

So, until the very last paper is signed ANYTHING may change.

CBS Radio this morning says 10,000 jobs will be cut in this merger.
