I don't think there is going to be any dilution of trademark or brand for Microsoft.
Or any confusion at all.
It just goes to show how most corporate lawyers (and Microsoft lawyers in particular) have absolutely no sense of humor nor ounce of human feeling.
I think it is hillarious, and he should be able to keep the domain.
