Spam engine waiting to happen

I've gotten a few requests from people to join a personal linking service called linkedin. I did and then as a test asked Judith to join. Looking at their 'invite to join' interface, I see how a spammer can use it to send out his own spam under the linkedin subject and not be stopped (at least until linkedin gets a clue and fixes their mailer).
Really bad idea on their part and I've seen the same in a few places. Doesn't anyone think about security anymore?
