He is 17, and has sex with his 14 yr old girlfriend (which is not illegal, or if it is, rarely enforced punishment). So when he turns 18, and she turns 15, he has to wait 3 years in order to have sex with her again and not land in jail. ain't that funny! haha

Appeals court says that the State of Kansas has an interest in
encouraging "traditional societal sexual mores", and upholds the 17-year
sentence of an 18-year-old male who had sex with a 14-year old male.
Had he had sex with a 14-year-old female, he'd have recieved - at most -
15 months in jail.
