Maybe not 3 years depending on the state.  As the age of the partner also comes into play.  Many states, including Kansas according to this article, makes a distinction at 16.  So most likely as long as you are reasonable close in age, once they where 16 things you are probably ok.  So, only one year to wait!.


Of course, as long as it is a heterosexual relationship if you are in Kansas!
