Several of the local smaller computer stores offer much better prices for computer related hardware and there is usually no hassle of the mail-in rebates. Prices are already discounted for it. In addition many shops will install the component for you if you purchase it from them. You may want to look into that.

right now it's a 30gb drive. I am not sure yet whether we will get a larger hard drive. We will be getting that from another place. we just want to know how much it will cost for you guys to take out the old hard drive and put the new one in there

we are not looking to buy a drive from you. we are looking for you to install a new drive in the laptop for us. how much for the service? we will be providing our own drive

GOSH, wtf???  I mean he is in sales, but geesh anyone who understands English should know I wasn't looking to buy a hard drive.
