I have discovered these ginger candies my office-mate was buying... they are candy without being sweet, one or two willl take care of the muchies, and they are actually good for you; ginger is supposed to be good for the digestion and helps prevent colon cancer, amongst other benefits I can't recall at the moment.

I get them at the oriental grocery, where they are just called "ginger candies" -- the brand name markins and all are in Chinese.
