Java enabled phones have been around for a while now.  When I was at
schoollink I even wrote some Java stuff for something, can't remember what
right now.


Also had voip phones that you could write java or xml based menus for.


Pretty neat.

Looks like plenty of access to system resources as well, as demonstrated
by a currency converter app that fetches current rates from over the
network.  I'm itching to see the libraries available.  Scriptable
phone?  Cool.
