Have you looked into Chelation Therapy?

Yes, there is an important correlation of HDL and LDL however, also a factor
that should be given consideration is total lipids.

While my Cholesterol number is low, and the HDL/LDL relationship is in a
good
range, what I am fighting is total lipids, which according to my healthcare
professional is unacceptably high.  They prefer to attack this with a
combination of diet and megadoses of the vitamin Niacin, before resorting to
drugs, which have, in many cases, serious side effects, as well as being
extremely expensive here in the US, thanks to the dubya support for the
pharmaceutical industry.  This results in most of them not being included in
the
formulary of my HMO.
