Subject: Yay me!
In case you all hadn't noticed, Kevin and I are going through a rather
hellish server migration. Well, one of the things that broke was a couple of
apps where we do downloads of rtf docs with embedded images. If you've ever
looken at RTF code, you know it's rather huge. Anyway, there's a known issue
with cfmx where large templates (over about 300 kb) won't run. So, what to
do with these RTF templates.
I tried breaking them into smaller templates and including them. Nope, same
error.
I tried reading them in via cffile. Nope.
So, rather desperately, I tried making the header (the big part of the file)
into a text document and doing a cfhttp call to grab it and dumping out the
cfhttp.filecontents before the rest of the .rtf code. Voila! I have a
successful hack! Woo hoo!
**happy dance al a Gel ****
:) :) :)
